PURPOSE: A probe for diagnosing HPV genotype and an analysis method are provided to ensure excellent specificity and sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: An oligonucleotide probe composition for diagnosing HPV contains a base sequence of sequence numbers 5-28. A kit for diagnosing HPV contains the composition and primer. The primer is denoted by sequence numbers 1-4. The kit further contains a labeling device for probing the PCR product. A method for detecting HPV genotype comprises: a step of attaching the probe to a solid support; a step of hybridizing HPV PCR product; and a step of detecting hybridized product. The solid support is membrane, slide, or well plate.
