<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy-based coating composition having an improved chemical resistance and the like. <P>SOLUTION: An epoxy-polysiloxane polymer composition is produced by combining: water; a polysiloxane having formula, where each R<SB>l</SB>is selected from the group consisting of OH group and an alkyl group having up to six carbon atoms, each R<SB>2</SB>is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl group having up to six carbon atoms and, wherein n is selected so that the molecular weight for the polysiloxane is in the range of from about 40-10,000; a difunctional aminosilane hardener component; and a non-aromatic epoxy resin having one or more 1,2-epoxide groups per molecule with an epoxy equivalent weight in the range of from 100 to about 5,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
