<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the manufacturing cost in a low range and increase the degree of freedom in the appearance design in a thermochromic writing utensil including a rear end knocking-type projecting/retracting mechanism having a friction part. <P>SOLUTION: Thermochromic ink is stored inside a writing element 5. The writing element 5 is stored inside a barrel 2 so as to be forwardly/backwardly movable. A knocking body 8 is projected at the rear from a rear end hole 41 of the barrel 2. A projecting/retracting mechanism is provided that allows a pen tip 51 to be in a projected state from a retracted state by forwardly pressing the knocking body 8. The projecting/retracting mechanism includes a cam part 6 provided on the inner face of the barrel 2, a rotary member 7 engaged with the cam part 6 and abutted on the rear end of the writing element 5, the knocking body 8 engaged with the rotary member 7, and a resilient body 9 stored in the barrel 2 and biasing the writing element 5 or the rotary member 7 rearward. The knocking body 8 is integrally formed from an elastic material. The friction part 83 is formed on the outer face of the knocking body 8 capable of frictioning the handwriting of the thermochromic ink and making the handwriting of the thermochromic ink thermally discolored by frictional heat generated during the friction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
