REGISTER SYSTEM OF METER ADDRESS FOR REMOTE METERING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A system for registering the address of a watt hour meter for remote metering and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the communication time of a data transmitting device and efficiently manage an HDLC address of the watt hour meter by storing a corresponding address by pulling the HDLC address of the watt hour meter in a slave modem. CONSTITUTION: A watt hour meter(501-505) designates a set HDLC address and transmits a DLMS packet. A slave modem(310) scans the HDLC address of the watt hour meter by a trigger signal and stores the HDLC address in a memory. The slave modem transmits the scanned HDLC address to a data transmitting device(200). The data transmitting device receives the HDLC address from the slave modem through a master modem(210), stores the HDLC in the memory and grasps the HDLC address of the watt hour meter.
