PURPOSE: An LED brightness test apparatus and method using an illuminance sensor are provided to change the brightness of an LED into an electric signal through the illuminance sensor and thereby reliably determine the normality of the LED brightness. CONSTITUTION: An LED brightness test apparatus using an illuminance sensor comprises a measuring device(100), a Mux circuit(200), a resistance meter(300), and a computer(400). The measuring device is embedded with an LED module(700) including a plurality of LEDs and measures the brightness of each LED of the LED module. The Mux circuit scans the resistance output of the measured LED brightness. The resistance meter measures the resistance of each LED. The computer is previously inputted with a conductance range in which the LED brightness is normal, changes the measured resistance into the conductance value, and compares the conductance value with a value in the normal conductance range to determine pass or fault.
