A linear generator, generating and harvesting eco-friendly electricity via any magnitude of natural linear movement, comprises an oscillating movable permanent magnet assembly â Aâ movable relative to coils â Bâ , the coil mounting assembly incorporating a super capacitor â Câ for storing and discharging energy at a controlled rate over a specified period along with embedded electronics â Dâ to enable remote control programming on the fly to vary the power out-put by switching and selecting windings. The programming may be in response to signals from an infrared fob. The generator may be tubular or planar, the latter being suitable for stacking to form a power pack. The generator can be comfortably integrated within clothing or footwear or arranged to respond to vehicle braking or wave movement on boats. A minimum of 1800 mm of linear movement is proposed. |
