SLAB PROCESSING METHOD AND SLAB PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A slab processing method and system are provided to prevent the growth of crack on slab by scarfing the corners of the slab and heating or hot-rolling the slab before the slab is cooled. CONSTITUTION: A slab processing method comprises the steps of: preparing slab(S) being processed, scarfing at least corners of the slab before the temperature of the slab is lowered below 600°C, post-processing the slab, detecting surface defects in the corners of the slab, and controlling the degree of scarfing on the corners of the slab according to the detection result.
