The pressing cloth (1) has a heat-resisting inert tissue (2) with an upper side (3) forming the pressing surface and a lower side (4) supported on an ironing surface. The pressing cloth also has a thermal isolation layer (5) comprising mineral particles. The thermal isolation layer is provided along the pressing surface. The mineral particles are selected from compounds of metals with non-metals, particularly comprising a compound having a substance class of the group consisting of ceramic oxides, silicates and salts. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a pressing cloth. |
