Class 65(2) In a spring-loaded hinge comprising a member 10 attached to a door and having a cam surface 10a abutting a plate 3 secured to the door surround, the member being pivoted to a spindle 6 passing through a hole in the plate and carrying the spring 8, the latter is enclosed in a tube 7 separate from the plate and having an inturned flange abutting the inner side thereof. The plate has a bifurcated projection 14 engaging a recess in the member 10. A bearing plate 15 may be interposed between the cam surface and the plate. The hinge may be modified to include more than one spindle. |
