PURPOSE: A device for controlling the level of a shift gear of a bicycle is provided to accurately maintain a shifted position since a worm gear resists the torque of a worm wheel gear and prevents reverse driving. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the level of a shift gear of a bicycle comprises driving and driven spur gears(112,113), a worm gear(115), a worm wheel gear(116) and a wire connecting unit(117). The driving spur gear is driven using the handle bar of the bicycle as a rotating axis. The driven spur gear engages with the driving spur gear around a parallel shaft(114) parallel to the rotating axis. The worm gear rotates around the parallel shaft according to the rotation of the driven spur gear. The worm wheel gear engages with the worm gear around a vertical shaft perpendicular to the parallel shaft.
