<p>The present invention is related to a method for a global evaluation of the status of cell membranes based on the analysis of the fatty acid residues of membrane phospholipids, by means of an elaboration process that furnishes a numerical index, defined as membrane unbalance index MUI, the index MUI obtained by the invention's method expresses the distress of a membrane due to the impairment of the natural and optimal lipid balance also related to free radicals stress.</p> |
