The biocompatible plastic rod (1) is bent in a supply condition along its longitudinal axis by thermal plasticity after an annealing process and by an injection molding process. The plastic rod is provided in a rehydrated condition and manufactured from polycarbonate urethane. The plastic rod of higher shore harnesses is heated in an operating room to transform into a bent form.
