The system (78) has a thermostat (34) provided with a flap gate (38) that regulates flow of cooling, where a first connection path (10) connects the system to an internal combustion engine. A second connection path (20) connects the system to a unit heater. A third connection path (30) connects the system to a cooling radiator. A fourth connection path (40) connects the system to a side outlet (60) of the unit heater and radiator. A thermostatic valve (42) is provided with a thermostat flap gate (44) that regulates the flow of cooling by the fourth connection path. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor vehicle, comprising an internal combustion engine (2) a multi-path regulation method for regulating flow of cooling in a cooling circuit of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
