The device (1) has a piezoelectric pressure sensor (5) generating an output signal based on a payload of a vehicle e.g. commercial vehicle (2). An information and/or alert equipment (7) i.e. display, informs a user about a loading space (11) of a vehicle structure (3). A control unit (6) i.e. information processing equipment, receives the signal, and controls the alert equipment to inform a user about the payload. An opening detector (8) is connected to the device to detect the opening of access doors or one of the doors for activating the device when the doors or one of the doors are opened. The detector is in the form of switch, door connector or camera.
