A sweetening composition comprises 15 to 50 mg. of a cyclohexylsulphamate and from 5 to 15 mg. of a saccharin salt or a concentrated aqueous solution comprising not more than 15 per cent w/v. of a cyclohexylsulphamate and from 1.5 to 15 per cent w/v. of a saccharin salt yielding when dissolved or diluted a solution in which the concentrations of cyclohexylsulphamate and saccharin salt fall within the curve ABCDEF representing 20 per cent off-taste concentrations. An example is concerned with making tablets each containing 50 mg. of sodium cyclohexylsulphamate and 5 mg. of sodium saccharin and including sodium benzoate as a carrier. Calcium cyclohexylsulphamate and the calcium salt of saccharin may be employed. |
