<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint capable of surely fitting an O-ring into a recessed groove when a pipe having large dimensional tolerance of an inner diameter is inserted into the pipe joint and pressure is applied in the pipe, even if the inner diameter is large by dimensional dispersion, when the pipe is connected. <P>SOLUTION: This pipe joint has a backup ring 10 having the O-ring 8 and a cut line to receive the O-ring 8. The backup ring 10 is brought into contact with a pipe inner peripheral surface P<SB>2</SB>, while always elastically energizing the inner peripheral surface P<SB>2</SB>by diameter enlarging direction elastic force F of itself. The pipe joint includes a guide ring 12 including a tapered inner peripheral surface 11 abutting on a pipe distal end surface P3 when inserting the pipe P to guide the pipe P, while elastically reducing the diameter of the backup ring 10 radially inward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
