PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner certainly performing sealing of the abutment part of the periphery of a filter element and the inner surface of a housing. SOLUTION: The air cleaner 1 includes the housing 10; an outlet 20; an air cleaner cover 70; and the filter element 50 filtering a gas flowing-in from a flowing-in hole 11. The filter element 50 includes a filter medium and a seal ring, and includes a filter cover 40 having a seal wall formed on the inner surface of the housing 10 and a ring part provided opposing to the seal ring at attachment; and a filter lever 30 rockably supported on the filter cover 40 through a cam part. When the filter lever 30 is rocked, the cam part is made to abut on a wedge function wall of the housing 10 and the ring part of the filter lever 40 and the seal ring of the filter element 50 is pressed to the seal wall of the housing 10.
