<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient safety device which can prevent such accident as a passerby or motor cycle collides with a side door of an automobile, with the side door having been opened without safety confirmation diagonally backward. <P>SOLUTION: The safety device of an automobile has a reminder mode which calls attention by sound or display while the automobile is parking with its side door closed, if a predicted arrival time to the automobile of an object, diagonally behind an automobile, is predetermined value or less, and a door-lock control mode which is such mode as to be entered if door-lock switches of all the side doors are on the lock side during the reminder mode, with all the side doors closed, and controls returning of the operated door-lock switch to the lock side when the door-lock switch of the side door on the object side is operated toward a lock-release side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
