PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device and an electronic apparatus in which, when vapor depositing is carried out by using a mask, peeling of a part of a composition material adhered on the mask and occurrence of a light emitting deffect are prevented. SOLUTION: The organic EL device is provided with an organic EL element 70 haivig an organic functional layer 40 including at least an organic light emitting layer between a pixel electrode 20 and a counter electrode 60. The pixel electrode 20 is arranged on a substrate 10, barrier ribs 34 are provided surrounding the pixel electrode 20, a mask spacer 37 of a projection type is arranged on the barrier ribs 34, the organic functional layer 40 is arranged on the pixel electrode 20 and the barrier ribs 34, the counter electrode 60 is arranged on the organic functional layer 40, an auxiliary counter electrode 50 is arranged on the counter electrode 60 located right above the barrier ribs 34, and an inorganic film 62 is arranged between the counter electrode 60 and the auxiliary counter electrode 50.
