PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device improving the reliability. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine control device 1 for controlling an internal combustion engine includes cores 12, 14 performing arithmetic processing concerning control of the internal combustion engine according to a clock frequency, a throttle valve time-variation computation part 21 detecting a time variation of a throttle valve opening degree of the internal combustion engine, clock frequency computation parts 22, 25 and clock setting registers 23, 26, which vary the clock frequency based on the time variation detected by the throttle valve time-variation computation part 21. According to the internal combustion engine control device 1, by varying the clock frequency based on the detected time variation of the throttle opening degree, a time required for calculation of a processing load can be shortened as compared with a case of varying the clock frequency based on a present processing load of a computation means as was in the past, the occurrence of control delay is avoided and the reliability concerning the control of the internal combustion engine can be improved.
