RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDING USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which is excellent in appearance properties and has a good balance between moldability and heat resistance, and from which a molding having practically sufficient strength is produced, and to provide a molding using the composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition includes: (A) 10-90 pts.mass of a polyphenylene ether; (B) 90-10 pts.mass of a rubber-modified polystyrene and a homopolystyrene; (C) 0-40 pts.mass of a phosphorus compound as a flame retardant; (D) 0.05-1.0 pts.mass of a mold-releasing agent; and (E) a pigment-based colorant. The rubber-modified polystyrene is composed of HIPS(a) and HIPS(b) each being a high impact polystyrene containing rubber particles, wherein the weight ratio of HIPS(a) to HIPS(b) is 98/2 to 70/30. The configuration of the rubber particles in the HIPS(a) is composed of one polystyrene core (unicellular structure). COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
