A vulcanizing mold, wherein a discharge groove having an end which is open in a front surface and other ends which are open in a rear surface and side surfaces and allowing only gas to pass through the discharge groove is formed in one end surface of each segment in the longitudinal direction. In vulcanizing operation, the discharge groove functions as a discharge path to effectively discharge gas, which remains between a tire tread and the segment, to the side surfaces. Because only the gas can pass through the discharge groove, non-vulcanized rubber does not enter the discharge groove, so that spews and burrs are prevented from being produced.
