PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel drive apparatus which performs light emitting operation of a light emitting element at desired luminance gradation, and also to provide a light emitting device of which the light emitting characteristic is good and uniform, a drive control method, and electronic apparatus including light emitting device.

SOLUTION: In characteristic parameter acquiring operation of each pixel PIX, auto-zero method is applied, while in accordance with acquired correction data nth, Δβ, cathode voltage ELVSS applied to organic EL element of each pixel PIX is set to individual voltage value. In acquiring operation of the correction data nth, cathode voltage ELVSS of a voltage value being the same voltage value as voltage Vdac for detection applied to applied to a data line Ld in the characteristic parameter acquiring operation, is applied to a cathode. In acquiring operation of correction data Δβ, cathode voltage ELVSS of a voltage value based on an average value of detected data nmeas(t) acquired by cathode voltage acquiring operation executed previously or the maximum value, is applied to the cathode.
