BLED DIFFUSER FED SECONDARY COMBUSTION SYSTEM FOR GAS TURBINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for modifying static pressure recoveries and emissions formation within a gas turbine.

SOLUTION: The system includes: a bled diffuser (52) positioned downstream from a compressor section (14) of the gas turbine; and a bleed duct (54) extending from the bled diffuser (52). The bleed duct (54) may be configured to direct bleed air from the bled diffuser (52) to the secondary combustion system (58). The air flowing into the secondary combustion system (58) may be mixed with fuel to form an air/fuel mixture.
