<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming images, in each of which the service life of an amorphous photoreceptor is prolonged and moisture is restrained from being stuck to the amorphous photoreceptor to prevent image deletion. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor cleaning blade 9Y<SB>1</SB>abutted on the driven amorphous silicone photoreceptor 2Y is parted from the amorphous silicone photoreceptor 2Y. After the photoreceptor cleaning blade 9Y<SB>1</SB>is parted, a liquid developer, which contains a toner and a carrier liquid, or the carrier liquid is applied to the amorphous silicone photoreceptor 2Y.
