PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency escape device of an elevator allowing passengers to easily and quickly escape by themselves without a feeling of insecurity. SOLUTION: The emergency escape device of the elevator in the event of stopping with a vertical difference in the floor level between a car and a landing includes: an upper end part that can be arranged on the upper floor and has an upper opening; a lower end part that can be arranged on the lower floor and has a lower opening; a pipe-like part constituted with an expansion type structure so as to allow the passengers to pass through; a step-like part constituted with the expansion type structure and installed in the lower end part so as to fill the difference in the floor level; and a gas supply source expanding the pipe-like part and the step-like part and maintaining the developed shapes.
