An oil pump configured so that the level of noise generated by the oil pump is lower than or equal to a predetermined level. An oil pump (1) comprises: an eccentrically provided outer rotor (2); an inner rotor (3) having outer teeth (3a) meshing with the inner teeth of the outer rotor (2); and an oil pump body (5) for containing the inner rotor (3) and the outer rotor (2). The oil pump body (5) is provided with a suction port (11) and a discharge port (10), and the distance between the discharge port (10) and the end section (11b) of the suction port (11) is set so that the rotational angle (a) of the inner rotor (3) in a compression process in which the volume of a space section (S) is compressed is within the range of 21° to 27°.
