INK DRYING APPARATUS OF COLOR OFFSET PRESS MACHINE BY TANGENTIAL ILLUMINATION ON THE IMPRESSION CYLINDER

PURPOSE: An ink drying device of a color offset printer by irradiation of dry light in the tangential direction of a support roller is provided to optimize a drying effect by irradiation of dry light applied as needed depending on the size of a halftone dot depending on overlapping level by each color and the coated amount of ink on a halftone-dot area, on which ink is coated. CONSTITUTION: A main controller previously analyzes halftone-dot's distribution and size of an original film by each color and determines the whole area to irradiate dry light. An individual control unit(103) is arranged on printer by each color, stores information on dry-light irradiating areas by printing step of each color from the main controller and operates based on the information. A signal processing unit(104) transfers information between the main controller and the individual control unit. A first position sensor senses the entry of a transfer roller of paper and transfers it to the individual control unit.
