<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide microparticles useful in the fields of cell therapy for tissue repair, gene transfer or vaccination and composed mainly of a biocompatible and biodegradable material. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided microparticles composed mainly of a biocompatible and biodegradable material such as polyester, which contain, on the surface thereof, cells of interest such as Langerhans' islet, hematopoietic cells and bone cells or fragments thereof, and which contain, upon implantation of the microparticles, the cells such as proinflammatory cytokine or active materials to the environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
