<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer capable of smoothly rolling a rolling element stored in a pocket of the retainer by effectively passing and discharging lubricating oil into/from the pocket of the retainer. <P>SOLUTION: In the substantially cylindrical retainer 11 retaining a plurality of needle rollers 20, the plurality of pockets 12 storing the needle rollers 20 are provided at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction. There is disposed in the retainer 11 an oil passage hole 32 which passes from an axial end surface 28 of the retainer 11 to an annular part inner wall surface 15 forming the pockets 12.
