PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which is simple to provide a molded product such as an optical film that is excellent in optical properties and antistatic performance. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises a cyclic olefin base resin, an antistatic agent such as sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, and the fatty acid ester compound of a polyhydric alcohol condensation product. The resin composition can be used to provide an optical film and a manufacturing method thereof, and the optical film is used to provide a phase contrast film and a polarizing plate.
