<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of machining sprayed coatings, wherein the sprayed coatings formed on bore surfaces, in a deck surface machining, does not receive any external force from tools or machines for machining deck surfaces, thereby effectively solving the problem of a prayed coating peeled by received external force. <P>SOLUTION: The method of machining sprayed coatings 2 on bore surfaces 1a of a bore B provided at a cylinder block 1 includes: a step of providing the cylinder block 1 which forms protrusions 1d extending to the inner peripheral direction of the bore B, being endless, and protruded into the bore B in bore end regions 1c with the bore B exposed to deck surfaces 1b of the cylinder block 1; a step of forming the sprayed coatings 2 on the bore surfaces 1a; a step of chamfering the prayed coatings to form chamfered surfaces 1e provided through at least part of the protrusions 1d; and a step of finishing the deck surfaces 1b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
