PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, the operation of which is prevented from being influenced even if a foreign matter or static electricity enters the imaging apparatus from an aperture for exposing a detection switch. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a light-emitting unit which can move between an operating state and a housed state; the detection switch which detects that the light-emitting unit is in the housed state; a wiring board on which the detection switch is mounted; a fixed member where the aperture is formed and the wiring board is fixed such that the detection switch projects from the aperture; and a cover member which is fixed on the fixed member to cover the circumference of the detection switch other than the aperture.
