PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air compression device for a railroad vehicle, including a filter part suppressing long-time deposition of foreign matter and removing the foreign matter deposited once therefrom when air sucked as cooling air passes therethrough. SOLUTION: The filter part 76 of a filter unit 75 is formed in such an uneven shape that protruded portions 79 protruded toward the outside of a storage case 61 and recessed portions 80 recessed from the protruded portions 79 toward the inside of the storage case 61 via a slope are repeated. In the filter unit 75, plate members 78 are also provided which have plate-shaped portions and which are mounted on the filter part 76 to cover the recessed portions 80. The plurality of protruded portions 79 and the plurality of recessed portions 80 formed on the filter part 76 are each arranged continuously extending along the vertical direction.
