PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a diagonal yarn transfer device for increasing a weaving density of a tetra-axis fabric and improving performance of a loom to produce a high-quality four-axis fabric even in increasing a weaving speed of the loom. SOLUTION: In the diagonal yarn transfer device of the tetra-axial loom, in which a device for transferring the diagonal yarn in a width direction of the fabric weaving using screw rolls is equipped with a unit for temporarily stopping or decelerating the motion of the diagonal yarn synchronously with a warp opening timing of a warp opener, the temporarily stopping or decelerating unit for the diagonal yarn is a rotational speed varying unit of the screw rolls 16, 17. A rotary slider mechanism 7 to apply non-uniform rotation to screw roll shafts 20, 21 or a rotation controlling unit 8 of a servomotor 39 for driving the screw rolls 16, 17 can be used as the rotational speed varying unit.
