PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled wheelchair which is operated by lever-drive and a small diameter, since in the case of a conventional self-propelled manually driven wheelchair, the body of a rider has to be once moved forward upon transferring the rider to a bed etc., in order to rotate a hand rim which includes a large diameter wheel and has a diameter almost same as the wheel. SOLUTION: A hole part is provided in a wheel (11b) of a drive wheel (11) and a cylindrical rotary shaft (26) is inserted and fit into the hole part. The end part of the rotary shaft (26) is D-cut and is almost vertically attached to a plate spring (25). Further, a D-cut drive lever (18) is attached to the end part opposite to the plate spring (25) on a same line. The drive lever (18) is fitted and inserted into a slidable drive rotation part (19). A drive holding part (20) and another drive holding part (22) are attached across a frame pipe (1). The drive rotation shaft (21) is pressed into the drive rotation part (19) and the drive rotation shaft (21) is fitted and inserted into the drive holding part (20) so as to be freely rotatably held.
