Disclosed is a charging device provided with a diode, a switch, a high-voltage conversion circuit, and a controller. The controller determines whether or not the electrical storage capacity of a low-voltage battery exceeds a threshold. If the electrical storage capacity is less than the threshold, the controller outputs a signal to a switching circuit so as to have a generator supply power to the low-voltage battery, and if the electrical storage capacity is greater than the threshold, the controller outputs a signal to the switching circuit so as to have a high-voltage battery provide charging.
