PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a method for driving the device capable of reducing shading, and to provide electronic equipment.

SOLUTION: In one pixel row, a pulse signal P2at the same peak value as a voltage VccHapplied to each power supply line PSL on emitting light is applied to each power supply line PSL in a Vthcorrection period as well as in a period separated by prescribed time (ΔT) from starting the correction of a gate-source voltage Vgsof a driving transistor Tr1. The length of ΔT is set so as to allow a voltage of the terminal of the power supply line DSL at the time (T2) of starting Vthcorrection to be higher than a low level voltage (VccL1) of the power supply line DSL.
