<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has a function of a document box even if no document box is actually included. <P>SOLUTION: A mailbox 5 having a mail address for transmitting/receiving e-mail using a mail server 3 and storing e-mail addressed to the mail address, is assigned to a user of an image forming apparatus 1. The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a storage accepting unit 25 for accepting image data to be stored by user operation; a mail creation unit 27 for creating e-mail with the image data accepted by the storage accepting unit 25 attached thereto; and a mail transmission unit 29 for transmitting the e-mail created by the mail creation unit 27 to the mail address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
