<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a high-grade rubber roller for electrophotography. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a rubber roller 1d for electrophotography which has a core bar and a rubber layer for coating a periphery of the core bar includes: step (1) of successively manufacturing a plurality of unvulcanized rubber rollers 1a in which the periphery of the core bar is coated with a layer of unvulcanized rubber mixture by executing coextrusion of the core bar and the unvulcanized rubber mixture from crosshead; and step (2) of forming a rubber layer by vulcanizing the layer of unvulcanized rubber mixture. The step (1) includes: step (A) of crosslinking a surface of the layer of unvulcanized rubber mixture by irradiating a periphery surface of the layer of unvulcanized rubber mixture with ultraviolet ray or electron beam; step (B) of measuring an outside dimension of the unvulcanized rubber roller 1a by introducing the unvulcanized rubber roller 1a into a tank of water and irradiating it with ultrasonic wave through water; and step (C) of feeding back the outside dimension to a condition of the coextrusion of the step (1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
