摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a conventional transmission apparatus, wherein the apparatus is configured to perform switching at a predicted point of time, and the switching can only be performed in a specific time zone, so that early detection of degradation of path quality is difficult and hence a path cannot be switched before the path quality deteriorates to a predetermined value or below. <P>SOLUTION: A programmed switching information generator periodically predicts times when the quality of a currently-used path deteriorates to a predetermined value or below based on the history of quality information of the currently-used path, and sets a certain time during a preliminarily set switching execution time zone within a period from the present time to the predicted times to a time for programmed switching, and generates programmed switching information to give instructions on switching from the currently-used path to a backup path. The controller outputs an instruction to switch the currently-used path to the backup path when the time for programmed switching specified in the programmed switching information arrives.
