<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an upper limit value of input current of a compressor according to an evaporating capacity of an indoor unit. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner including four indoor units and an outdoor unit connected with the indoor units and having the compressor, further includes an operation request determining section for determining whether the plurality of indoor units are respectively in operation or not, an evaporating capacity detecting section for detecting the number of indoor units determined to be in operation, an upper limit value changing section for changing the upper limit value of the input current of the compressor on the basis of the detected number of indoor units in operation, and a compressor control section for controlling the compressor so that the input current of the compressor is not over the upper limit value changed by the upper limit value changing section. The upper limit value changing section lowers the upper limit value in accordance with the increase of the number of indoors unit in operation, when an outside air temperature is a prescribed temperature or lower, and changes the upper limit value on the basis of the number of indoor units in operation, the outside air temperature and the prescribed temperature, when the outside air temperature is higher than the prescribed temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
