PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which suppresses drop of an image layer quality caused by a light quantity distribution, and to provide a print head and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: A plurality of light emitting elements (light emitting thyristors) L are divided into a plurality of sets (blocks) #I, #II... and controlled to light all together for each set. When all elements composing the set are simultaneously lighted, the unevenness of a current density generates light quantity distribution. Current density adjusting elements D are provided adjacent to the light emitting elements L, and electricity is passed to the corresponding current density adjusting element D when a light emitting element is not lit, reducing a difference in current density.
