PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of grinding a metal ring capable of efficiently performing an accurate grinding in a short time while suppressing a cost for a facility. SOLUTION: In a first grinding step, a grinding brush 2 is arrested at a first predetermined position L in the direction of the bristles, and the bottom end of the grinding brush 2 rotated by a brush holder 3 is brought into contact with the side end edge of a metal ring W for grinding. In an arrested position changing step, the arrested position 10 of the grinding brush 2 is changed to a second predetermined position H different from the first predetermined position L.
