PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core material of a ferrite carrier for an electrophotographic developer, which has a high electrostatic charge amount, and has excellent electrostatic charge stability when converted into the electrophotographic developer in respective environments, to provide a ferrite carrier formed by coating a surface of the core material of the ferrite carrier with a resin, and to provide an electrophotographic developer using the ferrite carrier. SOLUTION: The core material of the ferrite carrier for the electrophotographic developer is composed of ferrite particles containing at least one or more temperature compensation-type dielectric components selected from Mg<SB>2</SB>TiO<SB>4</SB>, MgTiO<SB>3</SB>and MgTi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>4</SB>, the ferrite carrier for the electrophotographic developer is prepared by coating the surface of the carrier core material with the resin, and the electrophotographic developer uses the ferrite carrier.
