PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator using a solid gas generation agent, causing no wrong assembling, no assembling miss, nor falling off during assembling work, and easy in assembling. SOLUTION: A plurality of sheets of gas generation agent 17 are laminated and packed so as to surround an igniter 16 in a combustion chamber 14. The igniter 16 is fixed by a fixing member 26, the fixing member 26 having gas generation agent support parts 26b extended from a fixing part 26a.
