摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reconstruction arithmetic unit, a reconstruction arithmetic method, and an X-ray CT apparatus which are capable of forming speedily and accurately an X-ray CT image effective for medical diagnosis. SOLUTION: The reconstruction arithmetic unit 45 carries out first reconstruction processing including successive approximation processing with respect to X-ray projection data acquired by photography using a predetermined scan trajectory, and forms a first image having good image quality with reduced cone beam artifacts. The reconstruction arithmetic unit then carries out imaginary forward projection with respect to the first image by using a scan trajectory having less artifact contamination compared to that used in the photography, sets desired frequency, FOV or the like on the basis of the forward projection data, and reconstructs a CT image by means of an analytical reconstruction method (second reconstruction).
