<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent masker sound of a sound masking apparatus from becoming harsh, by making articulation of target sound and masker sound closer to each other in an area where masking is needed. <P>SOLUTION: A non-volatile memory 13 stores a filter coefficient sequence which is obtained from the echo diagram of a bypass Ch 1 that reaches the sound receiving point 220 of a masking area 221 from the sound source position of target sound by bypassing a screen 100, as a parameter for a filter. An articulation adjusting filter 32 performs the convolution of the filter coefficient into the masker sound which is output by a masker sound signal generation section 31, and supplies the resultant sound to speakers 40L and 40R via a D/A converter section 11 and a phase adjusting section 12. The articulation of the masker sound that reaches the sound receiving point 220 from the speakers 40L and 40R is closer to that of target sound that reaches the sound receiving point 220 via the bypass Ch1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
