PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device configured to stabilize rotation of a core portion and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The fixing device (14) for fixing an image on a recording medium includes: a coil (52) disposed along the external surface of a heat member (48) and used to generate a magnetic field for induction-heating the heat member; and the core portion (58) disposed opposite the heat member with the coil between them, forming a magnetic path around the coil, and rotating around an axis extending in the width direction of a recording medium. The core portion includes: a plurality of core bodies (58a to 58c) disposed separately in a direction intersecting the axial line of the rotation and composed of a magnetic material to form a magnetic path; a shaft (59) with the core bodies arranged on the circumference thereof; and three spring members (90, 90, 90) disposed substantially at regular intervals in the circumferential direction of the shaft and supporting the internal peripheral surfaces of the core bodies relative to the circumferential surface of the shaft.
