PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the fitting state of both housings of a connector. SOLUTION: The connector includes first and second housings 10, 40 fittable to each other. A succeeding guide rib 33 and a preceding guide groove 35 are formed on the first housing 10, and a succeeding guide groove 50 and a preceding guide rib 52 are formed on the second housing 40. The preceding guide rib 52 is fitted in the preceding guide groove 35, and then the succeeding guide rib 33 is fitted in the succeeding guide groove 50. In the fitted state, the clearance between the succeeding guide rib 33 and the succeeding guide groove 50 is smaller than the clearance between the preceding guide rib 52 and the preceding guide groove 35.
